Welcome! This site was started up to provide you with in-depth reviews on triathlon equipment with a strong emphasis on wetsuits as well as all the latest news and information from the sport we all love.
Whether you are just starting out in this demanding sport or are a seasoned triathlete with numerous races under your belt the importance of having the right gear for your training sessions and the race day itself cannot be overestimated. For this reason we decided to setup this website to help you find the right kit for your needs and get all the information you need to make an informed choice before handing over your hard earned cash as let’s face it, some of the triathlon equipment on sale isn’t cheap!
If you want to dive straight into the list of best-selling triathlon wetsuits then visit this page now.
Initially this site started life as a purely triathlon wetsuit review website but overtime it has increased in scope to encompass other aspects of the sport and the stuff you need to take part in it. You can see the origin of the site in its domain name (www.triathlonwetsuit.org.uk) and in the logo and structure of the site but as new topics and categories have been added to the site over time I have tried to give them equal exposure
Triathlon News: this is a new section I have recently begun work on. Although there are many great websites out there focused on delivering news about the sport I thought it would be a nice addition to this website and might go some way to increase the exposure this often overlooked sport gets. So far I’ve been looking at recent competitions and events and hope to start adding profiles and features on prominent triathletes in the near future. If you want to have a look at some of my picks from the latest developments in the sport, then head over to the triathlon news section for a quick peek.
Triathlon Club Directory: this is another relatively new section that has been added to the site. My plan is to get a list going of all the triathlon clubs in the UK and perhaps a few from abroad too. I’m planning to do a little write up on each one so will be adding a new club each week which means I don’t plan to have this finished any time soon as it turns out there are many triathlon clubs in the UK! You can view the home page for the directory here and if you want to see your club featured on this site just drop me a line via the contact page.
Triathlete Profiles: in this section we will be taking a closer look at some of the top triathletes competing today in the United Kingdom and from around the world. We also plan to feature local triathletes so if you fancy getting your name up on this website and helping to bring some more attention to the sport and any races you are taking part in we would like to hear from you. The triathlete profiles start off with British number one Alistair Brownlee and you can view them on this page.
Triathlon Bikes: shortly after setting up this website I had to delve into the marketplace again as I was on the hunt for a triathlon bike. Like wetsuits there are quite a lot of different makes and models on offer and most of them come with very hefty price tags. I did quite a bit of research before making my purchase so though I’d add my notes to this site in case they are useful to anyone else shopping for a triathlon bike. If you are interested in getting a purpose built bike for your next triathlon then I recommend you visit the triathlon bikes home page on this site as it is a good jumping off point on your quest to find the right one for you.
Triathlon Shorts: I’m sure you will agree that this sport isn’t the cheapest to get started in, mainly because it combines three different disciplines each with their own gear, but for that reason you should be pleased to hear that triathlon shorts, which are one of the most essential items on list of equipment that you need, are probably the lowest priced of the lot. If you are in the market for a new pair of these shorts then have a read of our triathlon shorts buyers guide for some points of what to look for and information on the different types available.
The Mailing List: the site has recently incorporated an email mailing list to allow our friends to keep up to date with the new products on the market and any important developments in the sport. If you give us your email you will get infrequent messages from us with great information and all the latest news on deals and sales that are being held by retailers of triathlon equipment. If you don’t want to miss out on the bargains and money-off discounts then sign up today!
Triathlon Wetsuit goes Social: another new development for this project is the social media presence (for want of a better word). Facebook and Google + pages have been setup so we can interact with our visitors in a more fun way but I should warn you we are still finding our feet on these platforms so things are a bit quiet from our end at the moment. Our Facebook page only has about 100 likes – feel free to give us a like so we don’t look like Billy No Mates! Don’t even ask about our Google + page, were not sure what it’s for either! Check them out here:
We want to hear from you: if you’ve bought any triathlon or related equipment recently we’d love to hear from you and get your opinon on it.
